Scoring Guides
The Scoring Guides for the CCSS writing types are linked to the right. Remember, these are master lists of what you can teach for proficiency in a specific type.
Although you may have the list available for students so that they know the overall expecatations, you will probably "build" the Scoring Guide throughout the year with students.
These are just ideas. You do not need to limit yourself to this list. The way to generate the ideas is to think, "What else could I teach that would make the writing even better?"
As your students come to you more and more proficient, you will need to make sure that you meet with your grade level team to ensure that the expectations on the Scoring Guide are still appropriate. Enjoy!
